1 cup
½ onion, sliced
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (divided)
1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
1 ripe avocado, halved, pitted, scooped out of skins, and cubed
1 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
2 tsp Dijon mustard
sea salt (to taste, about 1/2 tsp)
black pepper, (to taste, about 1/8 tsp)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon raw honey or 5 drops liquid stevia (optional)
